๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท Under Pressure, We Held the Line โ€” Valence, France

Valence โ€” I Showed Up With Everything I Had

Thereโ€™s a difference between showing upโ€ฆ
and showing up with your whole heart.

This timeโ€”it was the second one.

Valence, south of France.
Sun on old stone. A shop filled with intention. Not perfect. Not polished. But real.

Samiaโ€™s shop.

And you could feel it immediately.

This wasnโ€™t just a workshop.

This was something she fought for.

Nine Students. No Easy Ride.

Nine students.

All different. All with their own rhythm, their own doubts, their own habits that needed to be broken before anything new could be built.

Nine is not easy.

Nine means pressure.
Nine means eyes everywhere.
Nine means you donโ€™t get a second to breathe.

And stillโ€”

we did it.

Not alone.

As a family.

I Gave Everything I Had

I stepped in fully.

Not halfway. Not observing from the side.

I went down with them.

Two students at a time.
Stone. Steel. Repetition.

Again.
Again.
Again.

No shortcuts.

Because if you do thisโ€”if you really do thisโ€”you donโ€™t fake it.

You donโ€™t talk your way through it.

You earn it on the stone.

And I stayed there. Correcting. Adjusting. Pushing.

Not to break themโ€”

but to make them understand.

Upstairs โ€” Control and Calm

While I was downstairs, Samia held the room.

And thatโ€™s where you see it.

Not in big words.

But in how someone moves.

She watched everything. Controlled the chaos. Kept the group together when it couldโ€™ve easily fallen apart.

With herโ€”Luigi and Pina.

Not just names.

Presence.

Weight.

You donโ€™t ignore that kind of lineage.

This Place Had Soul

What struck me most wasnโ€™t the technique.

It was the atmosphere.

This shopโ€ฆ

It had something.

Care.
Attention.
Respect for the craft.

You canโ€™t fake that.

You either build that over yearsโ€”or you donโ€™t have it.

And hereโ€”

it was there.

Nothing Comes Easy

Two days.

And it wasnโ€™t easy.

Nine students. Different levels. Different speeds.

Moments of doubt. Moments of frustration.

Moments where it couldโ€™ve gone wrong.

But thatโ€™s where the difference is made.

Not when everything flowsโ€”

but when it doesnโ€™t.

And still, you keep going.

Together.

Respect Where It Belongs

What people donโ€™t seeโ€ฆ

is what it takes to make something like this happen.

The sacrifices.
The stress.
The preparation behind the scenes.

So this matters:

Thank you, Samia.

And alsoโ€”to your husband.

Because this doesnโ€™t happen without both of you.

The focus. The energy. The commitment.

Underrated.

Underestimated.

But essential.

More Than Education

This wasnโ€™t just about teaching.

It never is.

Itโ€™s about building something.

A standard.
A mindset.
A way of working that people carry with them long after the weekend is over.

And when I look back at those two daysโ€”

it wasnโ€™t perfect.

It was better than perfect.

It was real.

We Did This Together

At the endโ€ฆ

you donโ€™t remember every stroke.

You remember the feeling.

Nine students who pushed through.

A shop that held strong.

A team that didnโ€™t break under pressure.

And one simple truth:

We did this together.
