Introduction
This two-day Refresh Course is designed for barbers who have already completed Level 1 at the Scapicchio Academy in Bovino and are ready to deepen their skills before progressing to Level 2.
Through an intensive blend of advanced practice and focused guidance, you will revisit and refine the essential techniques of honing and shaving with the straight razor.
Under the supervision of official Scapicchio Tutors, this course goes beyond repetition. It is about precision, consistency, service quality and confidence at a higher level. The Refresh Course bridges the gap between Level 1 and Level 2, allowing you to strengthen your foundation, correct details, and prepare yourself for the demands of advanced mastery.
What You Will Learn
In this two-day Refresh Course, you will go beyond the basics and bring your skills to a professional, consistent level. Instead of discovering the craft for the first time, you will refine it: you will learn to fully hone an open razor from A to Z, achieving a sharper, cleaner and more reliable edge.
Alongside the honing, you will put the finishing touches on your shaving technique, focusing on details such as pressure, angle, skin tension and flow of the service. You will also work on how to offer a better, more personalised experience to each client—translating what you learn directly into your daily practice, so that both your technical work and your overall service reach a higher standard.
For Who?
This course is exclusively designed for barbers who have already completed Level 1 at the Scapicchio Academy in Bovino and wish to further refine and improve their skill set. It is aimed at those who feel ready to go deeper into the craft, correct details, sharpen their technique and gain more confidence before progressing to Level 2.
During this course, participants have the unique opportunity to ask in-depth questions and receive direct guidance from the official Tutors of the Scapicchio family. This allows for a highly personal learning experience, focused on precision, understanding and real progression within the tradition.
